ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

After the last 2 games, I'm not so sure he does have Leckie in front of him.

Ibini will get to international status, but he has a lot of maturing to do. No more of his 'I've scored a goal, I can go home now' BS.

Ryan just looked way too nervous in both games, I think that's what caused his mistakes. Give him another 4 years of international football.

So far I'm very, very unconvinced with Oar and Leckie up front. And don't get me started on Oar's shot to Leckie followed up by Leckie's diving chest. Too many critical errors. We can control a match, but all we need to do is fix those errors. Worst part was, the Dutch were making them too, but the could actually capitalise on ours.

Good to see that we don't play thuggish football anymore. Heck, we're probably one of the cleaner sides - though every so often you need somebody like Jedinak to come in with his best impression of a chainsaw.
I thought Leckie was useless until this tournament.
Can Kruse play 10? Because that is exactly our luck, we have two decent players & they play the same position. Hopefully Leckie can move over to the left until Oar learns to be a lot more consistent.

Rogic can, Amini can, Antonis might under Arnie. Da Silva way too young. There is always Danny McBreen...

It will be interesting to see over the next transfer period or two if any Aussie boys go to bigger clubs, or Ange even.
Leckie certainly put himself in the window.

I was disappointed Ryan didn't show what he's got. I still think he is the best choice and with this experience and continued support from Ange he will grow into the role.

Overall I think the team did well. I was watching the games expecting some sort of result and that's not how I thought it would play out.
I'm a lot more confident of our chances going into the Asian Cup now, especially considering we have guys like Kruse and Rogic to come back in.

The good thing was the team trying to play the Australian way; always looking to go forward. The bad thing was the exposure of the lack of genuine technique. I love the fact that Ange is determined to make this team successful and look for much more improvement over the next four years. Australia played as well as they were allowed to. I thought Ryan had his best game and could do little about any of the goals; Wilko did better overall at international level than I thought he would and Bozanic provided good energy. Jedinak is clearly a real leader. Who knows who will still be there in four year's time? I am disappointed by the three losses but excited at what Australia and Ange can produce in the coming years - the Asian Championships should be a blast!

I thought the Roo's did exceptionally well at the WC, I think its fair to suggest that it was a given that we wouldn't make it out of the group stage, as much as we all wanted it to happen...all the Marinated boys showed their worth and Ange is going in the right direction with the team....NOW to my "other" team, the Dutch...I have my digits firmly crossed that the Oranje will go one better than the last WC...HUP HOLLAND HUP

Anyone spot Archie's racist comment about Timmy Cahill on SBS last night? He jokingly said that "Tim's aggressive attitude on the pitch is possibly due to his "island blood".

Hmmmmm. :naughty:

Well, as he also has islander blood, I fail to see the problem. Brothers, sticking together.
