Cas was on a scholarship, no? Unless he upgraded to a full contract midway through last season and nothing was announced?

Can’t blame Smylie for moving on to get some more game time to be honest, Blacktown will be a good fit for him.

Shame if we have let Cahill go, would've liked to have seen him maybe start breaking through. Unless he’s off on loan again like last season, in which case fair enough!
We need keep Cahill sign him Shaun @Shaun Mielekamp

Moresche played for Geylang last night so is clearly not in Quarantine at the moment. If we have to wait to hear about him for another 2-3 weeks it's going to be a long wait...

Scored a decent goal yesterday. I hope it is this guy we're getting and he's not going to another .\ team

Looks like their season ends next weekend so the timing will match...

Having watched some youtubes on him he seems to be a finisher not a creator... sorta a moneyball signing in that we have a few creative players around him and he is good in the air and fast on his feet so maybe a 6.5 goal per 10 game player... if we can provide him the ball...

The side he is in are poor and he has scored 11 goals in 20 games from a weak side is not bad....

Just what we need i reckon, a young fit consistent finisher. Apart from Kuol we haven't had one of those for a long time.

i was thinking about who we've got that can put a good through ball in....Cy, Beni, Marcos, Niko, Nizzy, Oli... they just rolled off the tongue... we haven't had a squad I've felt this optimistic about for years. If we can secure a decent finisher we could be a dangerous attacking side.

I do think we'll need Oli to make faster decisions this year but then I'm expecting better movement so he'll have options quicker. Be good to see his long range shots more often as well if we've got a poacher up front that clean up any spills from the keeper.

"Matheus Moresche. The Brazilian striker, rumoured to be considering an offer from A-League club Central Coast Mariners which would more than double his salary at Geylang"

He also appears to be following coastfootballramble and A-league Brazil on insta! As well as someone called Peter Prior....

If he's any good he'll get plenty with us, could be another reason for him to come.
AS you posted earlier we have not had a finisher in a long time.

Given we have two international playmakers behind him and a young kid coming who also seems to be technical add Nizzy and Olly... he should get good service... and we are still to see what the wide backs can add to that mix...

I was thinking in a 28 game season if 28 is the right number, and he scores between 15 & 18 goals its the kinda number that makes finals...

I think a-league would be a big step up looking at how physically inferior the SPL or S league whatevr they call it looks from the little of it I've watched. The standard looks well below aleague as well.

Definitely a chance to prove himself here and progress his career. It does seem to be a good match, fingers crossed he does join us.

Change add too but from how I see it.

In the say technical play maker / attacker, area, we have, Nicolai Müller,, Cy Goddard, Ureña, Nizzy, Olly

In attacking but less technical skills we have, Bèni Nkololo & Matty... both noted for being strong and physical players..

Having a finisher in front of technical line seems to add balance to the squad..

We also have Noah Smith as our left back, and a few trying out for the right back side... from what I understand Noah does get forward ....

Assuming we can still play at Gosford this side should draw crowds...

League standard is one thing, but hitting the ball and having it finish in the net is another. If your getting chances and finishing them it's because you can. There were many of those last year falling to players that can't or haven't proven it yet. If he gets those here........

Spot on, we missed way to many chances last year and a lot of not even forcing a save out of the keeper. I know even the best miss chances however if i look at Nizzy (who I really like) he could have scored 5 to 6 goals last year with all of his chances. He wasn't the only one.
