ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Smart council and cclc would make Dane Drive a pedestrian walkway and have permanent food outlets in a precinct.
Too sensible so that won't happen
Given that council recently borrowed $7m to meet a $12m interest payment I predict they will sell it
Borrowed 7 to pay 12. Thats like paying a credit card with another credit card.

I'd really love to know where all this money disappeared to

Agree. That could be done really well. But that might attract visitors that scare off the problem gamblers.

I saw something in a Blue Mountains paper quoting councils that had missed out on State govt grants for mergers. It virtually said that (while we got a sum) we lost out on over $100m while Hornsby Council which didn't merge got over $100m. I'm not sure of the truth of this and the recent State Govt look at the Council did not look (probably intentionally) at external factors that this would fall under

I think I read somewhere the costs were like $200m and the council got $50m. Either way its a huge impost on the rate payer.

Hopefully the constituency remembers in May when its time to send a message to the libs. And yes I understand the diff between state and fed distributions. Its the first chance you get though.

But Liucy stopped the boats? Why cant people remember the sacrifice from the N Beaches ring in?

On that I noticed the Libs have thrust another ring in into Dobell against the wishes of the local faction. Some cardiologist from Sydney who would be so far detached to the ordinary punter in Wyong as you could be.

Think they know Dobell is no hope for them - give the bloke a run and see how he goes.

This was also in the Blue Mountains Mayor Facebook on other grants

the first round of bushfire grants.
The upper house inquiry into the state government’s handling of those grants has been handed down and the first two findings give me a sad sense of vindication for the public stance I took:
“Finding 1
That despite an economic impact of the bushfires on the Central Coast valued at $163.3 million, on the Blue Mountains of $65.4 million, and on Ballina of $4.2 million, these councils did not receive funding under the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery stage one funding.

Came up with the floods recently. There’s impacted communities still waiting for help from the bushfires. The money is sitting idle not helping those it was meant for.

See why they bankrupted the council now. Instil a new level of governance that isnt required without kick back from representatives.

Libs only have to get Albo to talk on any subject or try and construct a coherent sentence. He can't do it. So if he can't articulate his thoughts, what the f**k is going on in his head. I'm not a massive fan of Scotty but the last time i voted Labor they had a hugely articulate and intelligent leader (Kevin) but the party destroyed itself and knifed him on the way. Albo and Wong are not fit to run a school fete.
This is when I need a great independent like Ted Mack to earn my vote.
