ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Brindell South has always caught my attention, seems to have had less chances this season.
We already have a seemingly dependable back up in Roux and the prospect of Aquilina coming in to replace Miller (wish that read Muller ;)), so I don’t see the benefit in bringing JBS to the club tbh. In fact, I would rather see us bring in another LB as back up for Faz and a replacement for Noah.

I don't think anyone was proposing we chase JBS, just saying he's improved.

I, for one, like seeing improvement across the board so the standard of the entire league goes up and becomes a more compelling product. Even the scumbags up north. The better they are, the more I'll enjoy beating them.

Correct and agree totally. I wasn't suggesting we sign him either.

I find myself totally relaxed about our squad building for next season.
Dead wood will go
Monty will have the cap not the floor
Their recruitment has been spot on so far
Not many spaces left either. Mainly squadie positions probably for more academy players like Bayliss junior

This guy on another forum who is a scout, insists it's the club's fault and insinuates Monty handled it poorly. His mail is Oli asked for a release to join WSW in the last window, club said no and Monty's decided not to play him cause he's going to leave. Suggests it's poor from Monty because he still plays Miller despite him being due to leave.

I would believe he’s been told that but don’t believe it’s true, or perhaps accurate is a better term.

Asking for a move indicates something is wrong, but if you do ask you have to accept the answer might be no. Now what’s more likely the manager cracking it or the player who had their request denied getting the sads and having a sook? Do we really believe Monty wouldn’t have him on the bench at all or use him to rest his preferred players just because Oli asked for a move? At minimum there’s a lot more to the story.
