Jury is still out on Ayongo and Tulio. Beni seems to have regressed. 3 visas tied up with attacking players that aren’t quite delivering. For me Moresche if he comes back in last seasons form will beat them purely on hunger and heart.
Lack of a spare visa slot makes replacing Garang very difficult.
More concerning for me is a player to go into the middle to challenge Maxi and Nissy, particularly when we are being pressed and fouled off the ball. I get that Monty doesn't want a DM but sometimes that physical pressence is needed in the middle (Stensness, Jedi type of player). I wonder how Hall or Kaltak would go in that position.

We were down a player. We were not going to replace 2 midfield players with defenders. Our defence or midfield was not the problem today it was our keeping.

I felt for Aquiline being partly responsible for all the goals.
The pass back to Danny was beyond Danny's capabilities. Matt Ryan would have eaten it.
He lost the battle for the header for their second.
He made the wrong choice at the end putting the ball back in the mixer. The whole team got over enthusiastic going for the win and should have settled for the points, but I cannot fault the attitude and heart of any of them.

None of them were deserving of capital punishment and I thought he had a great game (had nothing left but almost blocked the final shot). I hope he is not too upset and can move on.

Tulio is quality and Ayongo is all action. He'll get his share. They came to frustrate and didn't even start Arzani. For us to dominate the game after going down by 2 means the guys at the front were working overtime to break them down. Garang has already been replaced by having Moresche and Tulio. We won't get another Garang because there isn't one. Tulio, Moresche, Cummings, Ayongo, Ruhs, Nkololo, Silvera...... that's a decent front third.

Red card was deserved-Kaltak was beaten for pace by Rose and had his arms all over him.He was the last defender from what I could see though Rose wasn't heading straight for goal.

That first goal was a a comedy of errors -what possessed Triantis to pass across his penalty area? Under 8s don't do that.We played better when down to ten men and Kuol is the real deal( second goal was a belter)

Poor keeping for their winning goal. Those advocating Langerak's inclusion in the WC squad will be having a field day.
Disagree with your criticism of Triantis passing to Danny. That is all on Danny. Took it on his right foot ffs, that has to come across his body and first touch with the left and it is not a problem. He then has his body between the player and the ball. That is a pass made dozens of times every game across the a league and lower leagues. One of the first things you are coached.

No points but gold stars to:
Cummings, shame the ref robbed him of a goal with his early whistle. He is all heart and woks his butt off.
Nizz, took control and was one of the reasons we came back so well. Mariner's Napoleon. I reckon he could conduct a symphony orchestra.
Fazz, back to his best now. Future Socceroo. Put your house on it.
Garang, what a talent. Probably the most exciting player to come out of the A-League. Shows the value of investing what finances we had and ending up with the best academy in the country.

I haven’t seen enough yet to justify the visa spot. It’s so important to get those right. I want them to work out.

As for the rest I don’t think Macarthur came to frustrate I think they came with a plan to press and hit us quickly. And it worked.

Edit - at least the break will give Tulio and Kelechi time to get up to speed. Gets Moresche a little closer too. Tulio a bit unlucky to be the one hooked tonight after the red.

I love triantis but it was a shit ball to play in the first place followed by shit execution. When Danny wasn’t asking for the pass as the press was heavy and hard at that moment. Just pump it long on that occasion. It happens with young players, he’ll learn.

For me, a little bit of result on Monty as well.

We got to 2-2 and I’m all for going for the win but not at the expense of defence.

At that point when we have clawed back we need to balance the field.
Don’t need to park the bus but balance and discipline would have avoided the loss.

Not only did we loose 1 point but it has allowed Bulls another 2 point letting them jump us and move them right into the mix on the table.

Bit rookie by Monty not to adapt as the game progresses and read that they were starting to get us a few times on the counter after us being so dominant.

Could feel it coming again.

I haven’t read any posts on here but this is my 2 cents.

referee, absolute f**king power hungry wanker. Card happy from the get go, whistle happy costing us a goal (cumdog should’ve scored the pen)
50/50 on Kaltak’s red. I don’t think it was a red but they’re often given, doesn’t make it correct though.

brilliant fight back and we definitely should’ve won probably 5-2 with the clear chances we had. Can some solace with that. But the boys were way too f**king slow out of the gate. Took a red card and 2 goals to get going.

those having a dig at vuka again for not attempting a save on the header…. You have an extremely short memory, Birra did that shit all the time, on more saveable efforts.

The 3rd goal came from a stupid decision from aquilina to play a desperate first time ball back into the box, such a low % play, even more so than he was the last man already. 2 goals from individual mental errors.

That comes down to communication too. Who took charge and said enough? We were playing with fire well before it went wrong.

My mistake, I thought it was Aquilina. I will have to watch the replay. A tough ask.

Triantis put in the right pass for what was in front of him. All Danny needed to do was put his laces through the ball. Who knows WTF he was thinking. Danny at fault for 2 goals tonight
Still I think the pass was ill conceived.Danny was standing just in front of the goal line and Toure was only standing several metres away-at the top of the 6 yard box so when Danny couldn't control the ball he was Johnny on the spot.

If Danny called for the ball it is mainly on him but Triantis still should have sensed the danger of Toure's close proximity.

The winning goal was very saveable and that was very poor keeping.

I'm not as concerned by our defenders as some here. I think they are doing a good job given the number of true comp games together plus a bit of chopping and changing. Not confident in Danny at all now. Has looked slow in all games and appears to make minimal to no effort on goals 2 and 3. Give Sozer a shot as his preseason form wasn't too bad before Danny turned up.

Also, not a red card. Yellow for sure but is wasn't close enough to the box yet in my opinion to be worthy of a red.

2nd also, Cummings NEEDS to bury his penalty chances. He has had way too many saved to be our primary taker. Either vary up his penalty kicks (always seems to be hard low and left) or take a step back and check the ego.

The 2nd goal killed me - great coaching from Yorke but how the flying f**k was Aquilina 1 on 1 with one of their CB's - they did it twice.
They pressed/swamped Niz/Balard and we had nothing. Not having an experienced CM (no, not you Ollie) will really hurt us.
Maybe we shouldnt have cancelled Moresches visa spot and given it to what is starting to look like some sort of dodgy as f**k deal
