ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not sure if anyone caught the U17's games against Cambodia and China, but I thought Di Pizio was class in both games. Had some great touches in midfield to relieve pressure, can play some great passes and also looks like he has a great engine in midfield, didnt stop running in all 3 games. Keen to see him slot into the Academy next year

Didn't see the China game but was impressed with him in the Cambodia game albeit against modest opposition. Very composed heads up player. Was wearing 10 but playing as a 6, but looks like he would be comfortable in a 10 role.

Of our academy recruits, Di Pizio was certainly the pick and Pavlesic looked solid, albeit he was only really troubled by the Chinese attack sporadically. Dovison missed a couple of sitters in the China game and Parkes was forced off injured early in the second half.

I get that it was the third game in short order for the team but even though they got the win and qualified it was pretty curriculum-like football and it would have been really dull had it not been for Irankunda’s efforts

The club tried him in different positions to no avail. Ten years ago he would have made a serviceable defensive midfielder but these days his work rate is not high enough to play this position and teams that play with DMs are rare.
