Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Insipid first half and to be honest the Dingo would not have made a difference as too many were off the pace. Young team reading too much of their own press so that’s their come back to earth. Second half was better but only because Nix shut up shop successfully and we didn’t take our chances. No MOM as no one deserved it. Would love to see the lines for the Nix’s first goal as looked offside. But was rubbish clearing as with so many goals we concede this season.

Not hard to see why we struggled.

Wellington away is always a very hard trip. We looked hot, mentally tired and off the pace from the whistle against a hungry aggressive Nix. Wellington are very physical - smartly so to be fair - so you have to match them. (which we did second half) Cummings is a hell of a character, he must impact strongly on the motivation/confidence of the team, and besides his scoring ability, holds the ball up well and handles the physicality better than Beni or Tulio who were just completely forced out of that game first half.

Kaltak, Triantis, Silvera and Danny can all hold their heads up. Max and Theo did well enough off the bench. Otherwise, yep, most players struggled first half and just not the performance we are cable of in general.

Credit though for a much improved second half when Monty got up them and forced them to lift their intensity. Once the fight was there we started winning the majority of battles and all Talay could do now was scream and whine and try to influence the ref.

Speaking of which... (close your eyes Scottmac) pass mark from me.

Easy to miss the goal line pen moment and at least corrected herself under VAR which was better than many other refs have done. Biggest mistakes against us were the Tulio pull, though the commentators weren't all wrong on that one, still a foul fr mine, but Tulio managed to make it look like less not more. So where was the VAR? Clearest thing I think she and the 4ths missed was Rufer's body check off the ball. Should have been his first yellow.

Other than that, thought she was a lot better than most and wasn't cowed even by constant barrage of pressure by talay and even stood up to the wanker. Filed under, things you love to see surely.

I'll comment after I watch the mini match. Not watching the full replay. I thought the ref was shocking in the first half but was better second half. In the first every challenge she seemed to give a foul (both ways). Uguk frustrated in the second because she was realising that many challenges are 50/50

Extremely annoying game. Lost it in the 1st half with a passive and not at the races performance. Mont rocket got us going 2nd half but could only get that stoppage time consolation. Frustrating to not push our cushion in 2nd further but move on to Wanderers at home next week which is a huge game.

Mont rocket. Isn’t that a place in south west France?

Just on the referee, all this letting fouls go actually played to our advantage. Many of those fouls were ours and it allowed us to wrestle control of the game back.

It was the exact same situation with Faghani and Macarthur last week.

I still want to see a proper side angle of the first goal which we didn’t get any subsequent replays of. If that was offside it was not the ref’s fault.

It should not have taken 5 mins to decide it was outside the box and was not even close to a red so why did it take so long if they both were not trying to find something out of nothing. The lack of replays on their first goal makes me very suspicious, they checked Beni’s goal for longer. Tùlio was clearly fouled by Lewis in an attacking position, then they go down and score. We are the only team to have a goal rubbed out for something very similar. They constantly kicked the ball away and after three times she finally gave a yellow. Faghani issued one straight away against Ruhs. There was more so those that think that was a pass mark you have low expectations but then again you support CCM in the A League.
