ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

There’s no hiding from the fact it just wasn’t a good enough performance yesterday. And the nix have that c**t about them this season when they’re ahead, employing dirty tactics that make them hard to play against. We don’t need to be too dramatic, get over it and move on. We still have an excellent football side. Look forward to a reaction this weekend at home.

my takeaways are, ruhs has to now work extremely hard to get a start again particularly with Ayongo back fit. Max has his starting spot back. We’re not as scary without the dingo threat. And Theo will be a big threat when he’s fully settled and clicks into the group….. he was very lively and showed a glimpse of quality.
Not sure on this. I think out best central midfield is Harry and Nizz WITH Jason coming back and linking.

That said - if Jason is out then I'd have Nizz with Max.

Definitely can’t write off Ruhs. I’m no expert obviously and I can’t disagree he’s had some absolute shockers. But every time we get set to write someone off, the magic appears. Monty picked him for a reason and he’s in the best place to progress.. I trust that. Have seen glimpses of greatness already.. it’s in there. Sure of it. ?

Not sure about greatness but I would settle for decent or solid. I also think he is trying too hard at times which brings more pressure to bear. Monty and Serge haven’t picked too many duds thus far, so let’s see how Ruhs goes over the whole season before we write him off.

Good summary, I think probably the only thing I disagree with is you were a bit hard on Ruhs, toiled hard and made some good leads without reward - 5
Thought 3 was exactly what Ruhs deserved.
Would only have given Danny a 6.
Sivera while probably our best was only a 7.

Good summary JP! Keep up the great reporting bro.

Agree with all of that.

Harry can just dissolve in some games, especially away from home. Its Maxi for me.
Spot on assessment, but have a patience with Harry. He is a couple of years younger than Maxi I think and has a lot less ALM game time. Another 12 months of getting decent game time as a sub or backup when Maxi or Nizz are out, and you will see a much better and more consistent player.

THIS

Just remember that similar comments were made about Max when he first broke into the first team and it took him time to find a level of consistency too.
