Its obvious now Kaltak's card is marked... happens in all sports... some people get away with blue murder others look sideways at someone and cop a card.....

The refs in their meetings and discussion IMO simply believe he is a aggressive clumsy player so watch and punish.... I recall as many will people charging into Matty S almost wiping him out only to get up and have a free awarded to them...

I think tonights ref lost control and he should spent the rest of the season in the state leagues... my example and I think it highlights when a ref has lost all perspective and becomes petulant to the point of I am in charge ... this is what the book says....

Late in the game twas well into injury time.... Farrell goes to ground near our goal line... ref comes over and appeared to give a yellow for time wasting... Farrell maintains he is hurt.... ref calls in the Mariners medico... as soon as he is finished the ref orders Farrell off, now remember we have only 9 players on the field so this means we have only eight... then insists Farrell go the the half way line to come back on.... he has to walk roughly 80 meters.... then once at the half way line waits another 20 seconds or so to wave Farrell on.... in the circumstances of the match IMO this is unexplainable....

Two things on the match our shot selection and panic in front of gaols is becoming a worry...

On Hall I now understand why he is not being selected.... he was ball watching and lost his player when they scored and given the guy that scored is one of the best in the league it was big mistake for a CB to make....

Whole thing can get f**ked. f**k football.

Kaltak deserved red - look, it’s orange, sure, but you can’t overturn it.
Moresche red is f**king dumb as shit - why the f**k would you even raise your hand there?! Apparently could be looking at a lengthy ban after his carry on after the send off. Shame, as I really rate him.

We should’ve been 3-0 up at half time and not having this conversation.

Can ask a simple question.

Where was the pen first half? where the defender stopped the player not the ball? Honestly I will concede on officiating if someone can explain why that wasn't a pen. Was there even a VAR check?
Half the time don’t even know if var are checking.
And if your at the game basically have no idea what’s going on

Probably either a laughing at the refs working or b having a beer and ordering take away

Sober I still think that the ref was only officiating one team.

Kaerv should have got a red for the studs up challenge. I still believe we should have got a pen for the defences on Moreche, all player, no ball.

Kaltek's challenge was orange, he honestly needs to read the game he was in the middle third when he made the tackle there was another line of defence behind him.

Moreche's is out of complete frustration, it was a red, but if the ref had stopped the manhandling, he doesn't get frustrated.

I didn't see the Monty card so I dunno, but precedence is set every week with f**k-face.

In all we should have put the game to bed in the first half, that does not excuse the extremely poor officiating.

You simply cannot touch the face of another player. The minute his hand came up he was gone

True. Some of the saves though were r a matter of not being able to get out of the way. Hit straight at him

That was through good technique which is essentially good goalkeeping. The Tulio shot he stood tall and big and it hit him in the face. Most keepers fall away there and the ball goes in.

I still don’t know how he saved the McGarry shot. That was outrageous!

Easily the man-of-the-match.

Couldn’t have imagined a better way to celebrate a year since that evening at AAMI park...

I was thinking on this and the Adelaide 3 pen match on the way home.

I have never bought into conspiracy theories about matches being fixed to get the right teams into the finals or about payoffs to refs. Mind you when you look at how incompetent and how inconsistent the officiating is it is very hard to resist.

When we were shit for all those years we used to be on the receiving end of any inconsistency which was understandable, it happens in all sports. But now we are contenders it gets very hard to take. I am over being on the wrong end of all the decisions that could have gone (trying to be completely fair) either way.

I am totally over having a ref one week dishing out cards like a blackjack dealer for the merest infringement and then the following week (with faghani in control) it takes a cold blooded murder for him to think about a card for foul play.

The incompetence and inconsistencies are not just in the officiating it is happening throughout the management of the A League and the whole game in this country. The "beautiful game" in this country is being made ugly and being destroyed by this mismanagement.

We were told that after the Crawford report everything would be wonderful, and we have been told similar bullshit ever since while the game continues to disintegrate. Now we are hearing about the introduction of more teams plus a national second division when the A-League is struggling to support 12 viable teams in a competition and failing miserably. "Look over there at this shiny new thing it will stop you worrying about the big problems."

I did not originally understand why Rich would spend good money and not commit for over three years. It is clear now. The way this league is going I am sure he is now questioning why he let his passion get the better of his judgement.

I saw the last big reorganisation that was going to awaken the "sleeping giant" and watched it unravel through corruption, self interest, greed but mostly incompetence. That was the NSL and the wonderful move to summer football.

Sadly I have this feeling of deja vu, which unfortunately not deja vu but history repeating itself.

It has reached the point of me asking myself why am I spending so much real capital and so much emotional capital in something that used to provide a fun filled roller coaster of highs and lows, but now has become a familiar road of mainly frustration and sadness of another failing attempt at running professional football in this country.

Judging by match attendances many others feel the same way.

Very close to "So long and thanks for all the fish".

I am the same as you, although actually I think I am already there. I just don’t see a point anymore. Regardless of what you think about the refs calls, these ones go against us and never for us. I can accept calls for Kaltak’s red, for which I disagree, but Kraev needs to be gone too. This just happens far too consistently; there is so much more to this than just one game. This is season after season and yes, I know quite a few people around the league including club managers, and they say the same thing that they get more favourable calls when they play us. I am not even angry about it. It is what is. All the time and money I will save feels like a relief. Until something changes with these refs, I think I am gone.

Woken up abit calmer.
Bottom line from lastnight….. if we finish under half of the big chances we create we’re 4-0 up. The red card can happen and we still win. Yes, sail did make some top saves but some of our finishing was horrendous. Aside from city we are the most beautiful attacking team to watch, but we over play it so much and for the most part just cannot finish. Players need to know when to be selfish and most of all need to become ruthless.

That McGarry save was by far the best I've seen in a while. One hand at full stretch and to stop that powerfull shot......... Just can't believe it. He had no right to stop that but got there and stopped it anyway.

That's all fine, but seeing the regular antics from Rudan/Talay/Veart how is Monty on more cards than them?
Exactly, Rudan touches players and catches the ball all the time let alone abusing anyone near him and they celebrate it as passion. Maybe we need to start being a more threatening crowd and team so Ref’s are scared and not confident they are safe.

Moresche has just returned from a long term injury and when the player went through him and threatened a return to that injury Moresche got emotional. Still needed to keep the lid on but he was overwhelmed. I hope the club gets to put some perspective of this into place when his penalty is considered

Correct it was building up as they were constantly getting away with it as per normal. I don’t see anyone getting off any cards only maybe Monty if it can be proven as mistaken identity. The other two are on long holidays.
