ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

With so many teams close and finals places undecided at this point it would be perfect opportunity for all the final round to be played at the same time. Won’t happen but would be exciting potentially for this season.
I'm pretty sure I'd hate this. Instead of a weekend of football its all done in 90 mins. Sponsors & broadcasters probably wouldnt be into it either because you lose those views that would watch other games too.

Isn’t that what happened in 2008 iirc, when there were 4 teams in contention going into the final round?
And they all just happened to play each other.
With back to back kick off times.

It was amazing. I remember watching it in Kendall bar.
QR and AU both wearing home strips, and the crappy little TV in the corner couldn't really handle those colours so there were 20 players in red and we had no idea what was happening ?

Problem is also rugby league and Rugby (if they still play it) taking the fields so organising at last minute would be difficult

Never forget those strips. Queensland played in orange so they could be presented the trophy in their home strip. Then went on to shit the bed giving the Mariners the plate.

Let me expand on why

No one can play for a contrived result knowing what they need

The sheer excitement of the league table changing every time a goal is scored.

There is a reason why every league on earth (except you Danny) does it
In the A league there aren’t too many scenarios where it’s a big deal. I could compromise and say I’d be open to the games all being on the same day and run the overlapping ones concurrently.
You’d probably get 2-3 sittings out of that and still avoid contrived finishes.
Run them at 3, 5 and 730 and you’ve got a nice arvo of football lined up

The pack is starting to sort itself out now. The two top teams at the moment are City and unfortunately the Drive Byes, Reds just behind and with the GF being in Sydney that will drop them from the top two. Us and Nix still haven’t stood up and showed the momentum of the other three. It all starts this week for us. If Shitney make it they will only make up the numbers after last nights performance. Anyone else who makes it probably will not have much impact either.

Some huge games until the final round which makes it great viewing for neutral games. Would love to see a second spoon for Victory and Shitney not make the finals. I hope we don’t see the Drive Byes holding up the toilet seat.

???

. when you say 'the two top teams' ... are you dismissing Adelaide because they aren't part of the administrative bloc?

. arguably, they are showing the best form results-wise

At home I consider them very good, not some much away from home. They destroyed the Nix on the score board only and were more clinical on the day. I also feel they are defensively frail. That’s just my opinion and time will tell, when Goodwin is playing well so do they.
