ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A-League Transfers and Rumours

I wonder if it is loan so he can try and put himself in the window for the WC.
Afaik his city contract has expired so it should be a normal signing. Jury out on whether an inexperienced coach is the one to get the most out of him though. Hopefully the bulls will be more entertaining this season.

Borello to WSW confirmed too.

Nice to see he didn't go to the Drive Byes as it seems they are always announcing signings. I wonder if it is loan so he can try and put himself in the window for the WC.
I think he'll be lucky to make the Bulls starting squad, and rightly so.

He needs to control how eradic he is, and bulk up, or he'll never

Bit harsh, if he gets himself fit he will be a handful. It was cruel how he was injured so early in his overseas move. Assume he didn't want to walk away from his City contract but really should have come back to Oz a lot earlier to get himself right and to resurrect his career. Thanks Turbo wasn't sure if the City contract had finished.

I am somewhat troubled by your TV viewing habits and/or lifestyle choices if the first name that came in to your mind was "Lizzie McGuire"
Raising two daughters will do that to a man, at least mine are old enough that I escaped the ‘Frozen’ cult. I know grown men that are triggered into tics every time they here ‘Let it Go and Wanna Build a Snowman’…… :vhappy:

Nothing harsh about it. He struggled to get game time in second tier belgium and dutch leagues, and is in Australia's most competitive position atm (AM). If he's challenging this year for the Socceroos it would be an indictment on Graham Arnold & Australian Football.

I’m not his number 1 fan I just think he has some X factor and if he can get into the right headspace and fitness he will do well this season. He was loaned out a lot which doesn’t guarantee minutes. Be careful what you say as Arnold threw him in the Olympic squad when he was clearly underdone. He seems to have GA’s backing. If York has the ability to nurture him is more the question. It’ll be intriguing to watch.

The depth or competition in the U23 squad was a lot thinner. I think Arnold used a coaches call to try to jump start his career again but it would be very different to shoehorn him in to the senior squad.

I have no confidence in GA’s selections for the WC. One thing I’m pretty sure is he will finish up after the WC so who knows who he will pick for his swan song. Does anybody expect much out of those three games? Maybe a point if we are lucky.

I don’t think he’ll do something left field like Arzani. He’ll probably take Duke and continue some of his stubborn selections but I don’t there will be any major shocks. Also don’t think he’ll take Cumdog, he’ll take Taggart on a stretcher before that.
