Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not sure if this thread should be here under Central Coast Football or elsewhere.

The youth boys kick off their 2014 campaign today at the COE against Apia Leichhardt . Good luck to all the teams this year!!

Roy,

On facebook, there is a Central Coast Mariners Academy Group. I believe anyone can join. The full list of players in the academy teams along with coaches has been listed in there.

A shame that this top match up in NSW NPL2 clashes with the senior Mariners vs Wanderers:

Preview: Central Coast Mariners Academy v Northern Tigers Saturday 29 March 7.30pm Pluim Park, Lisarow

By all reports, Central Coast will be a bogey side for much of the NPL 2 this year. A narrow 1-0 defeat to Mounties on Saturday night was a tremendous result for Jason van Blerk’s side, with their pace and high pressing game providing some real difficulties for Wanderers.

Although much of the Mariners squad is under 20 years of age, at least until they are able to source an overage player or two from the senior side, they appear to be a well drilled outfit and benefit from coming off a summer of National Youth League.

As Van Blerk states in his interview with Peter Rowney(click here for the interview)the Academy has a very professional setup and is aiming to provide a solid pathway to the A-League, giving added motivation to the talented youngsters.

Jason Eager’s Northern Tigers will have had an enjoyable look at the drawing board this week following a 2-1 win over local rivals Spirit FC. Tigers showed plenty of promise in attack and were defensively sound for much of the match, forcing Spirit to use the wide channels for most of their raids on goal.

Striker Matt West and midfielder Aram Tayebi Derazkala will be instrumental in breaking down the Mariners, but Eager will be wary of going out all guns blazing.

This game has been switched to Sunday 3pm so as not to clash with the A-League.

SUSFC should be off the bottom of the club championship thanks to good results against Bankstown Berries.
