ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not convinced by the source but it's the 1st time someone added 2+2. Just not sure they got the right answer
First of all I doubt the story.

Given it may happen let's break it down.

First, MC is actively looking for investors.

Second, Juan has gone on record saying he would like to invest in the A/L, further he had invested in the MLS. However he indicated he was looking T Canberra.

Third, from the limited information in the post, it said QPR, was looking to buy a stake as was Juan. Therefore not the entire club. Meaning QPR could buy say 40%, Juan 25%, with MV keeping 35%.

If the third point is the way forward i.e. no idea on the breakdown.....but it sorta is along the lines MC has often said he wants to sell the club by,...where he keeps a little bit

Mike likely wants to keep some investment in the club to support or have some influence on the ground if any real estate developments ever come to light?

ie. We need access over there for the football community, (which also benefits his developments).

Had a conversation with someone last night not involved in the club, but it was very concerning. He has connections with a company that is taking MC to court over issues with his Tuggerah venture. Mentioned MC has had numerous opportunities to resolve them but has continually failed to address them. Said his view is without investors MC can't continue and once investors see the books they won't touch it. Gave a timeline of a few weeks for the court decision (not sure what this means) but he believes it will finish any kind of hope he can hang on to the club.
It's hinted at on X AusFootHQ where it talks about the players and staff in crisis mode doing everything they can to keep the club afloat. Further down it states "additionally, it is believed Charlesworth is facing legal issues related to club owned assets at the CC Centre of Excellence.

He is well used to legal challenges from creditors. Doubt he will be too bothered about this either.

Why would investors not be keen to potentially save the club this club is worth saving

Disgruntled and taking someone to court doesn't typically provide an unbiased viewpoint.

AusFootHQ… another gossip column. Tell them we’re signing Dabney dos Santos, they’ll run with it.
