ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Lots of options!

Ballard could easily take that starting spot based on those last 5 games he put in 110% and easily up there in the league.

It’s almost a shame that we have gone for Ayongo, hopefully it doesn’t deter the academy attackers to look elsewhere.

Don’t want to be like Sydney teams where the academy players swap clubs every 5 mins looking for an opportunity.

Need to keep that whole bench clear for our academy basically if we want to keep bringing in the best and moving them through and making $$$$$

If we learnt anything from last season it's that we needed players for rotation. Once we had 2-3 out by the end of the season finals got much more difficult to compete in. We do need the depth and I think Monty is addressing it. Our youth will get their shot, it's the key to our identity

I know Beni is a winger primarily but I would like to give him a shot next Niz in a more central role. He has proven that he can drive hard and get through defenders, plus having his height there would be a plus when contesting goal kicks. Plus that brings Cy/Ayongo/Garang back on to the left wing.

We don't have any academy strikers.

I don't think we'll see much of Cy this season. It'd be great if he's bulked a bit in the off season but there's only so much you can do. Needs to take a leaf out of Nizzy's book and toughen up, if not I think he's destined to be a sub at best.

So should we sign an injury replacement for Moresche?

I half expected Ayongo to be that but he is on a two year deal. Would temporarily bolstering our midfield with a visa midfield enforcer next to Nisbet or Balard be a good move?

Or a more speculative (and cheap) visa centre back signing that could push Hall, Windust and who ever else we sign.

If we do we sign an injury replacement and they are successful it will be a tough decision for Monty when Moresche returns.

I presume we can, but how long is he expected to be out.... if he is out for the season again I assume its OK but if he is back with say 6 round to play does that make a difference ?????

Surely this is Balard's spot after tlast season. He was excellent.
