That time of year again. Updated 16/08/2022

I think we currently have the following squad. Please feel free to correct or add. We also utilise the NPL2 players. Of the players listed one has a long term injury and one may or may not retire.

Contract Expires 2022 (4)

Aguek
Bayliss
Simon - (Possibly another year - possibly retire)
Windust

Contract expires 2023 (6)

Kelechi John
Moresche (long term Injury)
Roux
Ruhs
Sözer
Vukovic (could be longer - no details yet)

Contract expires 2024 (8)

Aquilina
Ayongo
Balard
Cummings
Hall
Koul
Nisbet
Nkololo

Contract expires 2025 (4)

Farrell
Silvera
Steele
Triantis
Just in terms of Vuka - I understand it’s a 1 year deal with a 1 year option after that (not sure if club or player triggered), with a view to a coaching role after.
Windust I believe is on a scholar deal this year.

Well I'm excited by the potential moneyball hidden Gem aspect.

When names like Hanlon got thrown about and then the suggestion was made that the new CB was even better than Hanlon... It's hard not to be kinda underwhelmed by this and a Vanuatu international.

Also thought the find a word thing was dead, let it be.

I`m the same ,i`ll watch him play a few times and reserve my judgement.
He must a very capable player though.
He`s stats show 55 games no cards or send offs.
Compared to Rowles 102 games for us 20 yellows,1 double yellow and 2 send offs.
We may have signed St. Kelechi...

:piralaugh:

. if he was wearing a Mariners shirt he would have been carded for at least half the involvements in his highlights reel

Meh. Sorry but that has zero hype for me, pretty big let down.

I'm more excited about the Vanuatu player, did we actually sign him, been so long I forgot?

On the plus side thank fk its not dogs name

That inexperience looked obvious vs Sydney. We looked much better when Storm and Cumdog came on. I listened to the Peil interview where he said one of the “KPIs” of his ownership deal was selling $800k worth of players every year. I hope we are not just looking at players to sell later. We need to win games too. Having said that, Can’t wait for the season to start, LFG!
