ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Megs and the Vootball Kids

Has anyone read Megs and the Vootball Kids, the children's book that Mark Schwarzer wrote with Neil Montagnana Wallace last year?

Details at http://www.megsmorrison.com/

My eight year old son and I are reading it for the second time. It's quite good really! It gives good raps to the A-League and the Socceroos, and even mentions the Mariners.

Not sure whether it's widely available in bookstores. It's a pretty small publisher, Bounce Books in Rosanna, Victoria (http://www.bouncebooks.com/).

I got mine from the Green and Gold Army online (http://www.ggarmy.com/), and it was signed by Mark Schwarzer. Not a bad birthday present for the eight year old! His dad's pretty fond of it too.

Hey, and I've just found out that the next book in the series will be released in Australia on 1 June:

Apparently there was a media conference in Sydney today and there are others planned for other parts  of Australia  this week:

No, before you ask, I'm not Megs Morrison's publicity officer! I just thought others might be interested. Especially if you have school-age kids (or if you have a school-age kid's taste in reading).
