ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round 1 v Scummers

Newcastle started their preseason a little earlier and with their newness I will be happy with a draw.

Penha will be the one to contain and Farrell will have to keep Yuel in check. If that happens we have the firepower to get through their slow defence.

we can only have the firepower to get through their slow defence with speed upfront. That means moresche needs to start.
although it’s so much more likely that Simmo will start and it’ll be a void battle in that area.

I expect Goddard to start if he’s over his niggle. Nizzy simply isn’t a wide player. Hopefully ruon’s good to go and very interested to see if Farrell gets the nod.

The Jets have very few remaining players from last year with Thurgate, Kantorovski, Hoffman the only real recognised players.
Our boys really need to put in an old school 'derby' performance if we`re going to walk away the points.
On paper we have a decent side capable of a decent win ,however the Cup game last weekend showed how vulnerable we can be.
Hopefully with Ruon back and with Cy and Moreshe (maybe even a Mueller cameo) we`ll get the win.
Monty really needs to fire them up though and with Matty starting I`m hoping for a few fireworks at the start....

I think we’ll be well up for this game and our attacking quality will show. I think Ruon back would be very good for us and though o thought Ballard was very good against Blacktown, I’d like to see Niz next to Olly and Goddard out wide.

I think Matty will likely start given it’s the derby, but he was anonymous last game. Which is not a word I’m sure I’ve ever used to describe Matty before. And given we didn’t need him to defend set pieces very much, he offered precious little that game.

Wouldn’t mind seeing him make way to see more, moresche.
