Please tell me he wasn't boo'ed. f**k me we have some fans who are just so f**king clueless. This is a world cup scoring striker, there's not another one in the league. All his shots were fairly long range and only 1 was without pressure. He forced a great low down save and makes a brilliant pairing with whoever plays next to him. That can't be lost on people. He's one of the best signings we've ever had. Someone said before he was slow on the ball, what f**king game are you watching? His feet are quick he plays one two's with whoever will come to the party, creates space for all the players around him, he's the linchpin of that front play. I think there's some people viewing the game with their head up their arse and when they speak their shit is dribbling out their mouth
i don't believe he was booed .when the boo's started. it was after, the miller dive yellow card. that's a clear pen or free kick

I was disappointed in Marcos game, that being said the bloke is quality, just having a run of form, he'll turn it around, to good not to.
I just don't see how people can be disappointed in his game. His missed shots, ok, but his play with Moresche and Nizzy was amazing. There was a passage of play where they passed between each other and went straight through the middle of WSW then dropped it wide to create a chance. I love seeing him shoot. You need to buy a ticket to win a raffle so the more he shoots, the better it is.

Watched the replay, so proud of our up and coming players. Hall has played two in a row and both clean sheets, he and bread Rowles are working so well together. Steele is great and Ballard really injected some energy when he came on. As a duo they have covered a huge hole with Gianni’s departure. Farrell is just unbelievable, I just expect so much from him every game and he delivers. Miller has found his Manager, clearly Monty understands him and he schooled Bernie all game.

Muller coming on was a great distraction as they wanted to hack the crap out of him and forgot about trying to score. He was a very useful sub in that type of game.

it was so hot and uncomfortable sitting in the stands so I could only imagine what it was like playing in those conditions. Every player from both teams was having trouble with their radar.

Great win against a team we have struggled with in the past even when they were much weaker.

Love this post. The kids are brilliant. I love seeing Hall and Rowles stepping around their attackers and opening up space. Farrell blocks everything and just seems to be so aware of danger.
I'd go as far as to say that Steele so far has been an upgrade on Stens, especially in an attacking sense. Our counter attack and speed getting forward creates so many more chances then last season.
Monty seems to have the smarts and has many options, both physically on the bench because of our youth, and tactically as well! I'm back to the point of expecting us to win most of our games.

Missed the game due to family commitments.Heat would have been a torture for both sets of players.I was able to watch the replay.

Excellent defending thwarted WSW and Ollie had the midfield well organised.

WSW have a handy midfield( Troisi,Antonis and Urkovic) but were not creative.I can't believe Urena was booed-all strikers have off days and as others have said he used his skill and reading of the game to be in a position to possibly score.

Nine points is fine at this stage of the season. Our tests will come with return fixture with Jets and when we meet MC and MV( their derby was a cracker).

Something l haven't seen mentioned and at risk of breaking my arm patting myself on the back, everyone that was in Bay 16 in those sweltering conditions deserves a shoutout. The heat affected the output for the most part but the last 20 minutes as we were on our way to the win, everyone stepped up and chanted the boys to the 3 points.

I haven't been that hot in the bay for a while. I was sweating but there was one point it was definitely a tear as our academy kids completely and utterly dominated a team full of peaheart "superstars". Absolute bunch of frauds and we did it easy.

Proud as.

On 96.3 they gave out the stats for us v WSW.
I can't remember off the top of my head, but our stats were horrendous.
Was one win from eleven, now it’s two. They were rubbish last year and we played to their level. I really hope Monty can lift the team when we are favourites, annoyed the hell out of me last season when we fell to the oppositions level.

Unlike last season I get the feeling we may put a few teams to the sword. We create so much more under Monty’s tactics. One day it will click and boom there is four or five goals.

Makes me :) I love this club.

For those of you who don’t know, the tweeter (is that what you call them?), Jack George, is my nephew and he’s now doing A-League games and the interviews of coaches at the end (he has interviewed Monty twice now) and the boy is only 15 years old! He’s an example of a very smart young kid building a career in a sport that he loves at a very young age! Modesty, hard work, intelligence and serious football smarts will go far. One to watch guys (very proud uncle stepping off his pedestal now)…:)
