Red card was deserved-Kaltak was beaten for pace by Rose and had his arms all over him.He was the last defender from what I could see though Rose wasn't heading straight for goal.

That first goal was a a comedy of errors -what possessed Triantis to pass across his penalty area? Under 8s don't do that.We played better when down to ten men and Kuol is the real deal( second goal was a belter)

Poor keeping for their winning goal. Those advocating Langerak's inclusion in the WC squad will be having a field day.
Oh yes. Should see the socials, Vuk is getting absolutely smashed

Hard, miserable loss. The team deserved a win, let alone a draw. We were mistake prone under the press, but a lot of heart shown to fight back, and sadly, this one is on Vuka. Oh boy is he going to be feeling like shit. Has not looked in form yet and now the high stress of this week has clearly gotten the better of him. Very poor game, just hope it is not the end as some think and he will settle again when home and still has some great football left in him. But do agree, his reaction speed, confidence and timing all look off right now.

On the other hand.... oh man Kuol is so fantastic to watch. What joy this family has brought to CCM and the coast over the last couple years.

A bit like the Glory game.Terrible first 30 minutes and a gift goal to them -
I thought we were actually dominant first fifteen odd until the goal. The press clearly rattled Danny, and not without reason, you surely have to make the decision to play long when the other team are so committed to stopping you play out. Then they got their tails up and we crumbled for fifteen.

Second half barring some counters was nearly all us. Which with ten men is crazy. So I'm still super impressed on balance.

Triantis put in the right pass for what was in front of him. All Danny needed to do was put his laces through the ball. Who knows WTF he was thinking. Danny at fault for 2 goals tonight

Gutted...

Easily Danny's worst game in his Mariners career (If not whole career). Seems like the week of media scrutiny over the Langerak selection got to him.

As for the game, the boys never gave up. Red card, can understand why it was given. As for the Cummins non goal penalty fiasco that is unforgivable from the ref. Linesman are told to wait for a decision, referees need to do the same.

Aquilina's 50/50 ball into the box was the wrong option when we are down to 10 men. The extra man for Macarthur was hovering on the halfway line looking for a breakaway and we served it to them on a silver platter.

Lessons to be learnt from this for sure. Need to come up with a plan B for when we are being heavily pressed. Also doubt we will see Kaltak for a while now. Lacks pace! Kelechi looked solid and so did Hall and Triantis.

"Won't Back Down" is definitely our mantra and the boys lived up to that, can't fault the effort. 5 years ago we lose that game 5-0.

Yellow Army had good numbers tonight (myself being one of them). Not sure what was happening with the pace of the chants though, way too quick! Like you boys all had 3 shots of coffee before kickoff ? Can Pete do annoucements from the bay? ?

Silvera has talent, a killer shot, and the ability to run at players.
If he can develop a positional or game awareness he could be a rep. He needs better decisions as when to run at oppositions, when to pass and when to drop in defence. If you could somehow combine his and Nizz's talents you could have a superstar.
Can that awareness be coached?

So the wait for a win person will extend another few months at least, almost half way through seven years now!

Loved my second home game ever and so did my five year old who loved it, probably the closest I have seen to seeing us win in person, apart from being 3-0 up at half time in Geelong only for Victory to come back.

Want to say a special thanks to Nectar Triantis, Danny Vukovic, Sam Silvera, Josh Nisbet and Thomas Aquilina. Came over to say hi and sign things even though we were some of the last people in the stadium after a tough loss. Doing so has made a Mariners' fan for life out of my son and he is so excited that he got his hat signed.

This is why I love the club and always will. Heartbreaking loss and the boys still took the time to spend time with the kids.

Cummings apologising and offering a young girl a signed hat after he hit her with a rogue shot also showed class.

we still have cummings but we lack someone of urena quality
Jury is still out on Ayongo and Tulio. Beni seems to have regressed. 3 visas tied up with attacking players that aren’t quite delivering. For me Moresche if he comes back in last seasons form will beat them purely on hunger and heart.
Lack of a spare visa slot makes replacing Garang very difficult.
