Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So very proud of our little club and this team this morning. Drifters Wharf was epic last night, great company and great atmosphere. I also got to meet Style and his wonderful Dad, what an exceptional man. ❤️

Loving the feel around everything Mariners atm and CCF have even given us old old bastards the run of Pluim Park today, just to put the icing on the cake and so I am looking forward chanelling my inner Mariner this arvo.

COYY ??

That flare was let off by Fish and everyone blamed the young kids.

To this day that game by Frontale was the most complete I have seen from an opposition team. They destroyed us in every aspect of football - ability, technique, passing, pace, mobility etc.
When watching that game I thought to myself how much better the J-League is than the A-League.I reckon the gap has closed somewhat but those Japanese clubs are financially well resourced.

All caught up now and what a game. Well worth dodging social media last night. Still a few things to work on defending set pieces and doing something with ours which have been pretty poor. Farrell looking rusty and unlikely to get his starting spot back in finals IMO.

Beath had a good game, early on I thought he was giving us nothing but was generally pretty consistent and didn’t throw cards around unnecessarily. Yes Irankunda could have been marched but Triantis could have seen a yellow and been suspended and Farrell could have copped a soft a second too.

Irankunda has a heap of talent but needs to react with head not his heart. Most players know where the line is and can show passion without crossing it. Might feel like he’s being singled out but he keeps crossing the line just enough to get himself in trouble.

I think the thing that impressed me most last night was how the Adelaide press failed to shut us down. The play out from the back and through the midfield was precise and confident with no panic. This was made possible by players making themselves available to the ball carrier, providing him with options. excellent football.
However, the ball was played long when necessary unlike under Okon when the ball had to be played out no matter what circumstance.
Conversely we forced Adelaide with our press leading to many turnovers and second balls.
A great game plan carried out precisely and competently. A pleasure to watch.

Conversely I saw Brian not win a header. Genuinely the first time I have seen this happen.
Can remember two. Which is low considering usually you’d lose count. But I think max, niz and the whole team cut out so much ball in the pressing that we often broke up play or dispossessed them before a final ball was lofted in.

Between the high camera being surprisingly clear and our passing & control in tight spots youd be forgiven for not realising how wet it was. I didn’t appreciate it until they showed some other angles which highlighted just how much rain was falling. A massive credit to the home supporters too.

Still coming to terms we finished second, I’ll admit I was worried about even making the finals after we lost to Victory. However when you look at our form after that loss it could’ve been the loss we had to have. Of the three seasons making the finals this is the only one where we are entering in good form. Excited to see how far we can go.

Reds fans are shattered, to be honest I don’t recall the last time the Reds were comprehensively beaten at home like that. I think this is why Veart and their fans on socials are so upset. Terrible way to enter a finals series. To have second wrapped up and at one point facing fourth position would have been a terrible pill to swallow.

Going to watch the Plastics game today as it sounds like an interesting game. To beat the Dive byes you need to run them around and attack them wide and it looks like the plastics did just that. If you sit back and play possession football the Drive byes will suffocate you and out muscle you. They are beatable and City by far is still the team to beat in my opinion.

This is one of those times we need to be a tad old fashion....

Get a high speed copier and run off 100 k flyers yellow sheet blue writing... keeps words below 30... sizw would be half A4.... tell em to stick on the fridge....

Give a flyers to every club to distribute to all players....

See what schools will place on notice boards....

Get some volunteers at railway stations...

Create some kinda competition between key Coast media companies for the CEO to take the ball out on the first game....

umm like this ?
