Unless a player questions why another is practicing their MMA skills without being sanctioned. Then the victim gets the cheese. He didn’t even blow a foul for what turned out to be a red card on an Adelaide player by Brillante. Might have played advantage but it didn’t appear he was even going to give a yellow.

I don’t understand why he gets the wrap he gets from so many people. He’s a poor ref who thinks letting the game flow means allowing sides to kick the shit out of each other. He deviates from the standards generally applied by the league and then gets pissy when questioned by players. He could pull things up just a bit more to stop things getting out of hand but he rarely does. Then once things get out of hand he often has to use more yellows to reign it in.
