G’day Fans ,
I’ve just seen a video of the 30 seconds of silence afforded to the victims of flood and in the Ukraine at AAMI Park Both are in theory a super worthy acknowledgment of our solidarity with those who have died and are affected by these events . However , 30 seconds is not a minute , and thie time afforded to it is something that has been diminishing in my opinion. Has anyone else noticed that our ANZAC rounds have far less than a minutes silence afforded to it ? The standard is 1 full minute of silence is it not ? 1 minute can become 30 seconds which can then become 15 . It really is something to defend and I seek your views and support to keep 1 full minute sacred to all events that rock our boats . Has anyone else noticed what I’ve noticed over the years ? To actually announce 30 seconds of silence is in my view an absolute insult when the standard has always been 1 full minute . This is something that must be defended for our future .
