Thoughts?

I have accepted.

Not for the walk around the field and definitely not for the "honour guard". Both fairly cringeworthy.

I have accepted in the hope that I may meet up with some people I haven't seen (or only occasionally seen) since my Bay 16 days, and to meet some of the "originals" who post here who I have never met.

Stealing/borrowing forum ideas including your pin.

I think it’s decent. It’s cheap but special. You get a pin eventually.

Keeps people happy that they got recognized.

Typical can’t make everyone happy so i think it’s alright.

Seems very forced hand at last minute.

As @Ancient Mariner said it might be more of a meetup for foundation members to interact together.

If it wasn’t last minute I would have liked them to open that party bar thing at the end of open end of the stadium and let them sit stand and drink together

That requires effort, interest and expense. Not their thing now we aren't a community club any more

I still haven’t had the email yet and the membership manager hasn’t been in the office the last two days. Three phone calls to get him to phone me has resulted in no action.

Girl I spoke to in the office didn’t know what was happening Friday night.

Asked to speak to the general manager today. Also not in the office.

My son, also a foundation member, did not get the email. Unfortunately he is working late on Friday and is unable to attend anyway.

The kids who walk out the tunnel with the teams and do half time heroes get more of an experience 🤷🏻‍♂️

I suggest you just turn up. If there is a problem we can tell them to stuff their parade. I feel like a bit of a blue is needed.

I suspect this is just another indication of the mess Piel left when he bailed and emptied the til.

I suspect he realised he was in over his head and called in "professional management consultants" (see the CCM mountain bike doc.) to run the place. They found the problem was that the football staff was not connecting with the office staff and got rid of everyone, employed expensive corporates with impressive but meaningless CVs and the place became a complete shambles. Piel realis3ed it wasn't working and walked and handed the shambles back to Charlesworth who has been working with shaun to sort out the mess and to try to find people who know what they are doing to fill the holes on a very tight budget.

This may not be exact, but I bet it is not too distant from the truth.

This event is just another victim.

My employer deliberately has no work phones so we can disconnect.
However, as it's 2025 we run soft phones and even if that failed I'd call you on teams.
This sounds like someone gets paid next to nothing and doesn't give a shit
Make wifi call on your own phone maybe.
