ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

None. Theatre goer central, chanting for Messi at one point.
I would say made up of theatre goers, Euro-snob football fans and A League fans probably in that order of size. In fairness to the theatre goers, they won't become converts because there was no evidence the A-League existed beyond the team name. Maybe it would have backfired if they had got thumped, but I thought it was a missed opportunity not to have a big promotional presence inside and outside the stadium.

The good news for us is all the attention that Garang is getting. Plenty of people who don't necessarily follow the A-League now know his name. Without putting unnecessary pressure on the kid (and he seems pretty level headed) we ought to be marketing off the back of last night - letting people know that for not much more than they paid last night, they can have a whole season watching the hottest prospect in the country

I mean being part of the team name is a pretty big point, it was very clear where they came from. There's some you wont ever convince but if a portion of the crowd had a great time, thought 'hey those guys werent bad' then the APL has an in it didnt have before. Follow it up early next season with a free GA ticket to a game of their choice and get some of them to an AL game. You dont need to turn that game into 20k memberships for it to be a success, its a long game approach.

Most of the theatre goers would have been impressed with the A-League but would still be blissfully unaware that they could watch the GF on ch10 on Saturday. Any further engagement with the AL would be down to them to initiate at this stage. Agree you play the long game but that doesn't mean you do nothing now.

I don't think the APL were the promoters of the game last night so even if people did tick the box on ticketek, they might not be allowed to email them. Some giveaways last night based on downloading and registering for the keepup app might have been the way to go to harvest some email addresses. Promoting that there was an app would have been better than nothing

In the stadium perhaps, cant comment on that. On TV it was covered.

That was apparently one of the APL's conditions. In the past they never got that info, just the visitors, this time they do and the Ts & Cs covered it.
