ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

ALM Grand Final vs Victory 23/24

We all know anything can happen in a grand final, but if there's ever been a time to believe we have it in us it's now

No chicken counting but our destiny is in our hands
We've had our ass handed to us at home by VUC in previous seasons. This team can maul them bad and deliver vengeance.

We've played them 3 times this season for 2 draws and a 1-0 win. No reason we can't win but equally no reason to think it will be easy.
Exactly.

I don’t think there was a person alive who thought Nix wouldn’t bring home the win, at home on Saturday. They had lost only once at home all year and Victory hadn’t troubled them, massively.

We can absolutely do it, but I don’t count chickens til the final whistle has blown and VAR has cleared it 😂

I feel like the occasion got to Nix....looked like a game they lost more than MV won.

MV's antics were pretty disgraceful that game too.

But, it's not just about that game. The result is a great demonstration of why playing to draw the first leg, with the expectation to bring it home, is so risky.

I'd rather try to win 2 games, then try to win 1 and hope they don't win the other. I can see the reasoning behind it.....but it doesn't leave any room for mistakes. Or for the team having an off-game.

But yes - we are facing a team who has, as a club, a lot of GF experience. And unlike City, they'll bring fans up, and they'll be loud.

This will be a tough match. I wonder how much changing our plan for last game was a factor in us playing so unsettled and whether we go back to Plan A.

Tickets definitely more expensive than they should be, but around the same price as the Aleague All Stars tickets.

We at least have the better value there.

With respect to pricing, exxy but (without checking currently), it seems consistent with other codes' pinnacle events. Football has undervalued itself in the past.
This is special but justifying the outlay is an individual decision
Soooooo much cheaper than other codes.

I've been to NRL and AFL Grand Finals as well - NRL was about $300 for a pretty shit ticket. AFL was all locked up in membership ballots, but when you get a ticket it's pretty much guaranteed to be $350-$450 per person. They technically have cheaper tickets (still almost $200) but it's minimal numbers and randomly allocated just to look good for headlines.

Woohoo, now have Flights, Accom, Car hire and game tickets done!
Next besides praying flights aren't changed/cancelled is to work out the best place to go for pre match drinks before the game!
Bring it on!
PS Unlike last year return flights have been booked for Monday in case there's something to celebrate on Sunday, the flight home Sunday morning last year was hard work!
