Quite sad that the season has finished but probably an appropriate way as this game represents our whole season.
Disappointed not to be going interstate for another grand final but nothing will take away the last 2 years which threw up 2 of the best days of my life. There's always next season! #Mariner4Life

Very hard to make money as a selling club however if the team isn’t as successful as the last 2 years.

There are exceptions like Eames & Waddington that still stand out in bottom 4 teams.

But to make the kind of money to break even need to bring those youngsters through in a successful environment.

De-Lima, Eames, Dipizio, Duarte and Paul are there ready for the payday if we can surround them with the right mix of enforcers.

Because we never got a transfer fee for Nisbet and Balard. Fair enough, we won a treble out of it but for the long term stability of the club we need to be developing players and selling them on with large fees so we have savings for when the club is in its lean years.
