ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Cool, I dont have a clue about cryptocurrencies
I just saw the 'Spin and Win' message and assumed it was a gambling invitation.
I wasn't suggesting that Cryptocurrencies [of which I know nothing] was a gamble.
If I spin and win this 'free' currency, can I use it towards paying next year's membership? Since the club is promoting it, I guess they accept it as payment?

Anyway, thanks to the Spin and Win I now have $150 ($149 actually, as it went down) worth of Bitcoin in my Zipmex account. I will just let it sit there and see what happens.

Hi Shaun
I'm sure you are aware or the J2 League match last weekend between Montedio Yamagata and Mitch Duke's Fagiano Okayama which has been ordered to be replayed due to a refereeing error potentially affecting the outcome of the match.

I'm also sure that you, like most of us (some to the extent of giving up on following the A-League at all), have seethed at certain well-documented refereeing errors likely changing affecting outcomes of our matches. The most egregious probably being where Adelaide last year needed 3 penalties to beat us, sufficient of which were agreed by the referee's boss to be incorrect calls for the match to wave been a win for us and the club gets maybe "so sorry!"

So the 2 penalty decisions in the Melbourne City match on 22/02/2022, which has also have been deemed to have been incorrect, have not only potentially affected the outcome of that match but could determine whether or not we are in the top 6. In fact we'd be 4th now with those 3 points. I would ask the club, with the J-League precedent, to consider approaching APL about having that match replayed if it significantly changes our's or City's final standing / season outcome.

Wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air. Will never happen here and especially not for our benefit.

We’ve certainly been screwed a number of times but the difference is the situation in Japan wasn’t just an incorrect decision - those happen everywhere regularly. The FFA didn’t even replay the grand final where victory scored a clearly offside goal against the jets when VAR failed. Sydney didn’t get to replay the FFA cup game we beat them in due to the foul being outside the box.

The Japanese officials applied a sanction that wasn’t valid and against the laws of the game which meant a team played down a man for almost a full game. The worrying thing is that neither the assistants or 4th official pulled it up and said hey you can’t do that.

Hey Shaun, if Sydney is owned by a Russian Oligarch can we please have the Ukrainian Banner back at the start of the match on Saturday? Cant hurt to shame the opposition before an important match.
Not a bad community initiative - they are also sponsored by a corrupt organisation that condones money laundering (Star). What a club.Their CEO also runs the league so maybe thats why we rolled over for them?

Yes I saw this and it was a very unique precedent in World Football. I do think as others have commented that it was a different circumstance that led to the appeal to get the game replayed - our current regulations don't have any room for such a request to even get passed an email (in fact I don't think I would even get a response).
A couple of seasons ago we tried to appeal a 2 yellow cards that were upgraded into red cards and got nowhere:

Unfortunately I think this match only sits 3rd or 4th in games where we have been dudded by the whistle.

The banner is actually somewhere in the hands of the FA who wanted to use it - I don't have more details just yet but will find out.

The Star is an entertainment precinct and offers a variety of dining experiences and entertainment options, this is why it is not captured by the anti-gambling regulations that don't allow betting on apparel. (Please note this is a sarcastic tone & quoting the explanation Sydney FC had officially given).

Not sure when/how we rolled over for Sydney FC - in fact we pride ourselves in being the opposite. The whole #Wontbackdown campaign actually started from a game vs Sydney FC when they tried to bully us into moving the team benches.

I meant the Evans stitch up - surely a public statement expressing how a good game was ruined by the officials What the club was going to do to register their protest. Even if it fails you are on the front foot and own the narrative.
The new AL has utterly failed on any inprovement of the FFA - in so many areas the comp is far worse. (online content, TV, promotion, quality).
MC's factually incorrect interview (he said it was VAR, it wasnt) doesnt help but no one seemed to be publicly standing up for the club or the fans.
This board has been rehashing this issue for weeks, the bad taste and sniff of a fix gets worse and worse because its been swept under the carpet and dealt with in secret

Question for the forum:
is it our right as paying customers to be informed of issues with the playing roster or should we be kept out of the loop ?
