ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Both had shockers apparently. Aziz was hooked early in the second half.

I'd say he had maybe 2 shockers leading to goals, obviously not a good game for him but just look at the amount of space and time they were given. If you're going to rest Birraz after that you better rest the midfield and back line too. Only 1 chance for Dundee in the highlights.

Aziz was easily the worst player on the pitch in the last Socceroos game he played at ANZ (Saudi)
Was actually embarrassing
That was a diabolical performance by the whole team so don't know if Behich was the worst player. He actually had an absolute stinker against Japan-the right winger skinned him repeatedly.

However he did look better against UAE and better again versus Peru.

Feel sorry for Birraz-from the highlights the United defence looked as bad as ours did during the dark times so he was hung out to dry.

Birraz is getting pumped by the Utd fans, seems to be copping the brunt of hate for a team with no defensive structures.
In the game the first and last goals were defensive issues, the 2nd was a long range wonderstrike, the 3rd can be attributed to him as it was a shot off a goalkeeping deflection, the issue is the initial strike was not pressed at all.

he doesnt seem confident anymore, and is a lot more quiet than when he played for us

I've only seen the highlights of those games, now he might be the scapegoat but switching keepers alone wont change anything. Terrible defending will hang any keeper out to dry and they've shipped 11 (of which you may say Birraz was responsible for 3-4 tops) and scored 1 I think in those matches. Even if he had an amazing game you're still shipping 6+ goals and not scoring enough to balance the ledger.

They need to give him a chance but I do concede that if results don't improve for that team he will end up being benched

Kye MOM in last match for Hearts. In team of the week. Leads SPL in interceptions after two games with 15. Hearts fans loving him.
Will be first CB picked at World Cup.
I’d prefer to be him than Birraz. Assume Miller isn’t getting a lot of game time. Could be a long difficult season for Birraz.
