ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Marketing Ideas to Help the Club

Got pics?
Some of the general marketing over the last few days has referenced "Our Paradise", presumably a play on the fact that Celtic refer to their home ground colloquially as "Paradise". I have seen some posters tied to lamp posts on Avoca Drive and Central Coast Highway saying "This way to Our Paradise", followed by a promotional poster for the game on the next post. I assume that is what FFC and Samster have seen also. Very simple and effective.

Poor weather and driving = no pics sorry, but as RS said above, they look good and spoke a simple message to generate some excitement.

So's not to disaffect any local Rangers fans should we be saying welcome to the yellow and blue sea of our Paradise? (Yellow and blue = green for any Celtic lurkers...)

The idea of giving the stadium its own nick name has a lot of merit.... Run to Paradise by the Choir Boys would put a local edge to that name...

But maybe we should think of our own...

the imagine in the stadium link below screams water themes...

The Marinerdome...

If it catches on then other sports and events held there will find themselves referring to our team all the time.
It wont. And there is nothing dome like about it. The distinguishing feature of our stadium is the palm trees and water behind them. Paradise isnt original but it does fit.

You don't need a dome to call it a dome.

Mind you, you're right about the palm trees and water - it's just that Paradise will alienate some fans the way Melb City wanting to call themselves and fans "Citizens" pissed off eveyone who wasn't a Man City fan; ie, most Melb City fans.
