ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

My 321:
3: Vuka
2: Beni
1: Kaltak
Special mention to Cameron Windust, I thought he looked very composed when he came on and showed he deserves more minutes.
Windy is an absolute legend, both on and off the pitch. Bloke is quite nearly worth a starting spot at nearly any A-League side. Has Dan Hall 2021 syndrome: what does he have to do to get game time?!

Cummings is a class above and has realized it, once Garang is gone he's probably going to start to feel lonely... we're incredibly lucky to have him. I hope Mariners culture can keep him with us a bit longer.
Fully agree.
I think at the moment he looks like he is trying to do too much.

He is not a target man for a long ball which we were having to play too often last night because of the lack of midfield. He cannot win the ball in the air like Matty used to.
Would he be better playing as a poacher more like McTappin?
Probably not, as it does not seem to be his style, but I thought I would through it out there to see what others think.

Yeah I'm not really too worried about the understanding between our attack moving forward personally Ancient. We saw some terrific link play against the scum. And I think Tulio is the real deal. Silvera continues to look good. Ruhs is always dangerous and unlucky not to score - plays like he was reared by grizzly bears - but he's a great young talent imho. And at last Benni was finding some form. He was actually my 3 points today. and of course our scoring rate has been excellent until today.
It is improving, but I would still like to see better one touch combinations. I was thinking more like those between Urena and Matty. With the strike power we have, we should be scoring more goals.
We have only seen Tulio play up front for a couple of games now and he seems to possibly be the creative answer (the #10 we have been lacking). Maybe I am expecting it to happen too soon.

The game should’ve been played at 7:30, criminal to play in that heat. One of the most boring first halves I’ve watched this year because of that. I can’t even comment on performances (aside from vuka what a legend) because I know every player was heat affected, doesn’t matter how fit you are at the end of the day.
Yeah we probably should’ve got at least a draw but could’ve also been pumped 5-0.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
a Nizz less Mariners is a struggling Mariners , Maxy missing didn't help
the reasoning behind this run of shite in Mexico eludes me , well apart from the dark years when we couldn't beat a egg
why do you think Jok plays like a demon at Pluim but never as a sub for 1st's...just asking
ref was ...A FKN A LEAGUE REF....is it that bloody replica Manchester City shirt that turns refs into cow towing f**ktards ?...anyway...McTappin shits me to tears ...that Bos kid might be a bit good in green and gold soon-ish....that dutch bloke was rapidly turning into a cooked crustacean...the sooner the idiots at APL tell the tv providers to "f**k off , were kicking off at 7pm , like it or lump it " the better

upwards and onwards

Agree that Tulio may be the creative answer we need, but from the last couple of games I attended Monty seems to be dropping Cummings back deep rather than Tulio, which seems to play against both players strengths?
Dingo plays the 10 role nicely as he has a good eye for a pass and never holds on too long or dwells. A very good link player. That’s probably why he’s the one floating into the role more than Tulio who’s more of a dribbler/flair player, let him do his work in the final third.

Id rather he played aa a striker. Seems like Urena he's drifting into that role. Cleaner finisher than Marcos so I think its costs us more.

yeah it's as simple as this , as i see it .
we had no midfield without balard ,nizz, tapp .
what we needed to do is play either cummings or tuilo at midfield. cummings would have been my choice .
traniss and hall without nizzy holding their hand, aren't able to do the job .
indeed i believe ayongo could have done a job for us in midfield as well

does anyone know balards condition ?

anyway keep calm and carry on .

Yeah I’ve said it before, drifting into the 10 role could cost him some goals converted but it also allows him to arrive a little later into the box probably unmarked like he would be leading the line.

fact of the matter is though, for a long time we’ve needed another more experienced CM since Ollie left. When injury’s happen like they have now, we’re extemely bare there. Triantis and hall can play there but IMO only effectively so as part of a set 3 man CM as the holder.

Our main problem yesterday was not the heat, it was not Beni or Jason being too left-footed, it was not Garang not being terribly involved. It was Nizz not being on the field. Other players can play well but Nizz is the little general annoys their attack and then directs our play. Steele, Balard, Triantis and Hall can all play central midfield, but they can't bring the team together like Nizz does.

Even with Garang going, if Nizz is on the field I will back, Jason, Tulio, Ruhs, Beni, Sammy and later Moresche to score.

With Garang going and one of the visa players as well a true backup for Nizz is the hole we need to fill in January.
