While I don't like byes I'd rather Canberra come in successfully a year late. Tony Pignata as CEO of Football Tasmania is keen to follow in (possibly as soon as 26/27 in a 10,000 Football Community Hub - state and Federal funding to help). If we could a 16th team to come in at the same time it would be ideal.

It would also bring in more content (fingers crossed - assuming we have a media partner) for a new media deal. 151 games this season, 163 the following season, 247 for 26/27.

hmm, the jafas coming in to the comp huh, while i have no prob with that , what happens if they win the thing ?, the team they just beat gets their spot in the AFC , hardly fair to the coach and players

TBH it is unfair. They have no pathway to the riches of the Club World Cup. If they can't get an AFC spot they should be able to challenge the OFC member (almost certainly the semi-pro Auckland team).
