ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

You’re onto something, it definitely used to be. Though now gone are the days of watching Michael Baird and Adriano Pellegrino strutting around Pluim!
I think 3 over-age was the NYL rule rather than NPL.

I think you have to be no older than 22 at the start of the calendar year (and to be eligible to play for Australian NTs) to qualify for the NPL academy teams with no exceptions

The NPL are due to play Sutherland at the same time as the GF. Anybody know if we have spoke to Sutherland or applied to NPL NSW to have this re-arranged so that the whole club can be part of the GF?
I dare say we’ve asked the question, but Sutherland could easily refuse… much the same as a certain WSW academy director did last week after we requested an earlier kick off time

Notwithstanding that their head coach (don't know if he is also the academy director you refer to) having justifiable personal reasons to be unsympathetic, there is also the matter of their precarious position on the table. It makes sense that they would be ruthless and hope we sent a weakened team down (in the end I think James Bayliss was the only one held back).

Hopefully Sutherland are less inclined to be cynical. Maybe we can sweeten things with the offer to go down there for a friendly later in the year or something.
