Agreed. Huge crowd helps too! It's easily the easiest one to join in on. Simple & punchy. Huge noise from it at the GF because it's so easy to get on board with.
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I introduced that at a Newcastle away game earlier this season. It was never meant to become a full time thing. Disagree that it’s pointless - seems to spur people to go harder, the noise when everyone explodes into it is 10x louder than the chant being done normally. Very cool visually too - I had a pretty decent view of it on Saturday
Never going to make everyone happy. Tbh I don’t like the “we sing for yellow” response, I’ve always been in the “we sing for mariners” camp, but it ain’t up to me to change it now.
f**k it was loud on Saturday though.
Used to be done back in the day but people tried to go too fast and it fizzled outNot popular I know but I always thought having the same syllables as LFC made an easy transition for Mariners. Trying to get people to sing on mass and loudly requires something really simple, especially when they're not members. Replacing Liverpool with Mariners ???

What is the name of the Arsenal song that you suggested?I've suggested it before but got no interest... the Arsenal song is perfect for ripping off as has a good tune and is very easy to learn.
Adapted for our use it would go:
And it was Mariners
Mariners FC
By far the greatest team
Australia's ever seen
And it was Mariners etc
Proper football tune that could inspire the non-singing majority to join in.
We'd call it the Mariners Song. What is the name of the Arsenal song that you suggested?
There was meant to be a GF in 2008, we were all down Foveaux St at the KB then marched up to the SFS in great spirit and voice, only to find the gates locked and a notice advising that for unforeseen reasons the 2007/08 A League GF had been called off. Thousands of Mariners fans traipsing away to the nearby pubs or back to Central for the train home was a sight to see. Felt like the air getting let out of a giant balloon. There was no GF in 2008

I'll say. They missed the crushing disappointment of being full of piss and song and ready to win the Premiership/ GF double at the expense of the Scum, only to be turned away at the gates and realise we'd never know for sure it would've happened.Mind probed?
You were lucky...
The phrase sh*t for brains springs to mind for some reason…..Mind probed?
You were lucky...
Solid effort Archie. To the tune of: Heaven Is a Place on Earth
By the palm trees plays a football team,
Kissing the badge is what it means,
No matter what we'll always follow you,
Central Coast the yellow and blue!
