Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Paramount+ Subscription Important Update!

Good Evening,

Please take a moment to read this email and follow the instructions below by midnight tonight to ensure that you are not charged unnecessarily for your Paramount+ subscription.

Exactly 12 months ago, the first phase of Paramount+ codes were issued to Central Coast Mariners
Season 2021-22 members who had opted to include the subscription in their membership.

If you did not Opt to include it in your membership and therefore did not receive a code, you can ignore the information below.

The new codes will be sent by the end of August for Season 2022-23 Members. In the meantime, please log in
tonight to your Paramount+ subscription account and ensure that your account is not set to automatically roll over. If it is set to automatically roll over, you may be charged $89.99.

To avoid this you’ll need to follow these steps:
Log on to your Paramount+ Account
Scroll down to ‘Subscription & Billing’
Check your ‘Next Billing Date’
If your subscription is nearing expiry, you will need to cancel your subscription by navigating to ‘Cancel Subscription'.

Once you receive the new code, you can log back into your account, apply the new codes and you will be all set up for an exciting A-Leagues season.

If you have not purchased a membership for Season 2022-23 please be aware your paramount+ account is separate to your membership with us and you will still be charged at the expiry date of your subscription.

We apologise for any inconvenience this timing may cause and look forward to seeing you at Central Coast Stadium in 2023.

. less than 3 hours notice* !

. okay it has been mentioned on here recently but i can imagine there will be more than a few members caught out by this ... and there will be plenty of families who have already paid for more than one membership (i.e. a couple could be about to auto-renewal two accounts even though they have already paid via their membership)

. it will be interesting to see how they (the club and P+) handle this for those that have been caught out. i suspect it will be more 'your account, your responsibility' than 'we know you had paid, but failed to issue the codes'

* and sent out after bedtime

I could be wrong here (guess I'll find out ?) but I'd imagine that the urgency for tonight applies if the code was activated the day it was sent, if the next day - tomorrow night, etc. as it was 12 months free subscription. I did log in and mine expires in November!

. yeah this is one of the reasons i didn't activate mine until the start of the season rather than as soon as i renewed ... to build in a buffer

. i cancelled regardless, left the appropriate feedback and received an email that the subscription was still valid until November

. now we'll see how we go when i try to re-activate ... it will probably say that the account has already had a free trial and i am ineligible to use 'free' codes again (not that i'm cynical or anything) ;) :innocent: :piralaugh:

Huge stuff up by Paramount who the blame must rest on as they would be the only ones providing the codes. Terrible look and places the Clubs and APL in a poor position.

Not a great start and they really needed this to go off without a hitch. Does not make you feel confident the upgrades suggested last season will even be implemented. Afraid their rating of a minus remains until they earn the plus.

I’ve allowed mine to renew as I’m watching other content and don’t want to wait three weeks to be able to watch it again. Looks like I’ll have the joy of trying to get my money back when the codes finally arrive.

I very much doubt you'll see any money back. You'd be better off canceling it and signing up for a month by month plan at 8.99/month and canceling it after the first month rather than letting the annual rate renew.

This is catastrophically bad stuff from Paramount. Seemingly doing a masterclass in how to piss off your core, and really only, audience.

I want to be an evangelical for Paramount and tell people to get it for A-League and beyond. But this sort of thing just adds to the ever growing list of sheer incompetence. NPL TV has more functionality for games and it's a free platform!

Even if you cancel now you can still watch until the end of your subscription period. The date of that is in your account tab.

At the start of last season we have a friend who actually paid the subscription and was also a member so had a code and they did receive their money back. I'm confident I will get my money back as consumer law will prevent them from collecting a subscription payment twice. This is not just our club it is all A league clubs and members and there would be plenty that missed the deadline to cancel. This will be an added administration nightmare for P- but appears they have brought this upon themselves.

P+ and APL.
Name a more inept duo. I'll wait
The APL took a huge gamble and it has far from paid off at this point of the deal. I don't think they had many options especially with the cash amount P- was offering. In that first season when there was confusion around when adds could be played during a game it appeared apparent the dialogue and planning between the two was almost non existent.

This is already going around on social media so possibly the worst kind of advertising the A leagues need leading into a new season. Near impossible to attract new subscribers when all they read on socials is how poor the stream is and now you had 3 hours to cancel or cop paying twice.

The APL needs a huge season to start turning around this sinking ship. A few big name signings is not going to be enough. They need socials to be talking up Paramount not what is out there now.
