ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mr Peil was at Pluim today and from a quick chat, it sounds like our new chairman is a passionate guy who sees real potential in growing the club, so hopefully he can make that happen.

Interestingly, Luke Wilkshire was also there, hopefully not looking to poach any of our young talent….. :naughty:

I hope so too and why would they announce it next week to just tell the fans we are going to canberra in front of the crowd
Yeah. Shaun looked excited. He’s been such a good man and fantastic asset for us over the years I can’t see him being happy if the coast was being betrayed. Let’s bring your mates, get everyone there… so we can riot when they announce the club is moving. Is also not a great plan.

But to celebrate the beginning of a new era? That makes a bit of sense.

absoutley he was excited tbh this has been done well the fact this had been going on so long without anyone knowing which is the way to do these type of things. so well done to all involved for keeping it quiet

This is all very positive. I'm a bit confused about Charlesworth's role going forward. Is he remaining Chairman or will effectively be a silent partner or what?

More likely that he was there to be poached as a replacement assistant coach for Sergio Rai. He hasn't poached any of our players - both Aiden Mumford and Bilal Belkadi went to Wolves on deals that were assisted by the club. Matt Hatch was also on his way there before this season but accepted a downgraded scholarship offer instead.
