ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

what has happened to Hammond? Saw him come off injured about a month ago - haven't sighted him since?
As mentioned, fractured ankle after a pretty poor challenge from Eoin Montford from Hills on Ayden’s debut. Disappointed as he was super lively on debut for first grade.

I only saw bits of the academy game unfortunately but what I saw looked more composed than the week before. Had they settled back into mojo or was it the opposition was less challenging?
I'll watch it back on npl.tv when I get a chance.

There's no reason they can't win the final. We know we can put goals past them.

I thought they looked more focused, the loss knocked them into gear.

Correct and apparently he got the assist? I was watching it from work but managed to miss both goals!
Yes, Sasha and Lachie both got a goal and an assist. McCarthy was also dangerous going forward (and put in a good shift defensively). He looked a bit lacklustre in his first few games back from injury but getting back to his best now.

Better balanced team selection, probably a bit tighter at the back and definitely more threats going forward with McCarthy on from the start and Bayliss playing further forward. Next week will be a tougher test but we have Tapp to come back into midfield

Based on what? We have lost 1-2 and drawn 0-0 with them during the season and lost the semi 1-2 in extra time. Thats 2 for and 4 against in 3 games. I agree that there is no reason that we can't win the final but we will need to play like we did in the first half yesterday against Tigers, and for the whole game. The first half was our best performance of the year. If we had a 9 other than Dor Jok (who is not even NPL standard let alone A League) we could have had 5 by half time. And now, Jok will go and score a hat trick in the Grand Final :)
