ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

hmm I am not sure how I feel about this.

I like Beath. He is usually fair. But I was hoping for outright clear bias towards us ?

Response from the APL.

"Danny Townsend said: “We have undertaken a process of detailed research and consultation on best practice for fan consultation over the last four months."

Unlikely. Let's see the proof of that hyperbole.

Just so happens to coincide with the Cove boycott, how convenient. Bullshit just trips off this guy's tongue, takes the fans for gullible idiots over and over and they buy it.

Once the finals are over this will all be swept under the rug again, it'll be the same old shit.

Next season? Just say sorry promise a load of crap you don't follow through on, fans have no power anyway and carry on regardless.

The only way to deal with this is for the team they don't want to win to score indisputable onside goals that the most corrupt ref can't deny and rain on his parade.

Very self congratulatory but, well done, it has had an effect. At least things appear to be now moving and the football can take the centre stage.
All they got is more promises, there's not a single concrete outcome. Why would you trust any of this when the APL have already broken every promise they've made? The man is a weasel.

More bullshit lies and spin.
Anyone who believes this twat deserves to be let down.
This is damage control 101.

It was always a bit of a Clayton's boycott, boycotting something they didn't expect to be in for very long. Suddenly they think they are a live chance and they need to extricate themselves from the boycott.

All Danny boy needed to do was promise to make them some more promises and they were out of there (and then come out with a level of pompous self congratulatory spin on their statement that DGB would be proud of)

While I do not disagree with the above posts the acknowledgement was the the first thing asked for and with the agreement for fan representation on the board it has been a major step forward.
The thing that I am happy to see was that the Cove followed through with the promise of removal of active support if agreement was not reached by the end of the season.
All groups were active when the issue was news but very luke warm in any follow up.

You can say what you like about whether the protest was enough or not but it did get a reaction. It also showed the emergence of two groups who were prepared to continue to follow through after the initial heat had died down which is important in being taken seriously if fans are to be listened to in future.

It is now up to all other fan groups in each city to organise effectively so that we do not get walked all over in future so that what you expect does not happen.
