Hall and Triantis both played in front of the CBs a fair bit during preseason, I assume for this exact situation. But I still think the area needs more depth. We can score well enough but need effective transition out of the centre to do so

As cover but probably not this exact situation right? We looked caught out by the loss of both our ball playing mids.

Hally looked capable of steeping up, Good feet, great football brain, but huge step up to run the engine room. Triantis has great physicality there, but on the ball, not quite quick enough yet if we need him playing out under pressure. Mind you either one alongside Niz, or Max if Niz is out, seem a decent option depending on the opponent and game plan and provide good competition to Harry I think.

I think Lachie is the better of the 2 but even if promoted they aren't the experienced midfielders to play alongside Steele orBalard

I don't think they necessarily are but they at least offer something different to having two specialist centres backs/full backs when on the bench.

If they're going to be with us long term then surely it wouldn't hurt to at least expose them to a matchday squad?

The absence from the extended squad is odd. Not listed as injured and still not fit after this long (remembering we had the World Cup break) or otherwise on the outer speaks volumes. Suspect he’ll be out in the Jan window.

Yeah as cringe as it sounds, when a usually active player on socials goes quiet for awhile, it’s an indicator. Always has been.

Don’t want up see him go to the SPL. There was mention of the championship too.

Tricky, number one, he needs to play.

Two, there's lessons to be learnt in any league, but he’s so instinctive as a player, tend to think a loan to a league wth a leaning more towards technical, tactical or creativity would be better for his development.

Germany was very good for Leckie and Kruse. France, Belgium, Spain…

What do others think would be the ideal league for him and why?

I’d say France under Kisnorbo but that won’t happen with City group vs whoever is the oil money running NU.

I’d say the dutch at ajax would be good too

I think he is tough enough he just isn't good enough yet. But it won't take him long and each year he will get physically stronger.
League One or SPL would be good to help him acclimatise.
Hopefully by 21yo he is kicking down the doors in Geordieland.

I think they should give him some U23 prem league games and loan him toward the end of January to a more technical based league, he needs to fill out abit more for British/Scottish leagues. Fill him with confidence and refine his on the ball ability.

U23 Prem league was a pretty high level but i think it is an U21 league now (2 over-age players allowed). Every team would have 2 or 3 Nizzys and a kuol upfront.

This would suit Garang more as i read the average age was 19yo in U23's, hence the change. But 1st team players coming back would always have to play a few weeks of U23 to regain the sharpness.

I find it amusing that we (Foster is to blame) think a giant english club would consider that the Dutch or Germans would coach their wunderkind to a higher technical level.
