Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think Monty got his selection horribly wrong today but fixed it at HT.

Silvera and Ruhs were beyond awful and we were too slow.

2nd half we were direct and played on the wings - dubious red card to the scummer certainly helped.
Dubious? Studs into just below the knee and no play at the ball. You've lost it.

Monty did what we all asked him to and changed it up. We played well from the whistle but got caught on the counter twice. I don't think he got it wrong at all and was brave with the changes at the half and it pays to be brave sometimes.

It was a much hungrier performance today which was great to see. Obviously still lots of work to do to get the new look attack clicking because it was concerning in that first half, we didn’t look to have a clear plan.

Fortunately the boys opened the flood gates and papered over the defensive cracks and that’s good enough for tonight. Looking forward to checking out the mini match tomorrow to get a different perspective.

Nothing makes me happier than us absolutely smacking the Foxtel Homeless FC.

Got no bottle and got no stadium either.

I was fearing the worst after the 1st half but that 2nd half was fantastic. Pressure was continually on them and they folded like a deck of cards. The kick-start that we needed for our season.

Interested to see where those who were questioning Monty are now ?
What a fight-back. Yes, they were down to 10 but you can only beat what’s in front of you and they were certainly all in front of us, packing literally everyone behind the ball after the red, until we scored our third.
HT subs changed the game.
That was an early season 6 pointer for us.

As an aside - f**k Neil Kilkenny and everything about him. Absolutely the shittest human in the league.

Actually f**k all of them. What a horrible team they are. Grubs the lot of them. Hopefully this season starts their slide into extinction.
No ground, no fans, no class

After last weeks dire shit Monty had zero choice but to make selection changes. Shakes up everyone not just those who got dropped, to think shit if I don’t perform I’m out.
I think it showed today with 16 players putting their best foot forward, not everyone was perfect but you can’t fault anyones attitude.

Not going to do a huge post this time. Monty made the necessary changes from last week (bar Kaltak because Kelechi was injured) and then again at half time when from the 20th min onwards we weren’t upto snuff. He bit the bullet with the triple change. I f**king rate that.
that first 15minutes was the exact reaction we needed. Very unfortunate not to be 2-0 up. 2 sucker punch goals had me and my mates fearing the worst.
1: absolute hold my hands total f**king credit to fazz, beni and Ayongo… the boys rightfully dropped from last week all scoring and showing mental strength. They start next week.
2: garang changed the game.
3: Cumdog in my opinion is in the top 3 best players we’ve ever had in this clubs history. Do not argue with me.
4: Dannys passion on every goal with us down that end gave me goosebumps. Waited over 10 years for Danny to tell me the score. Goosebumps.

Excellent turnaround after last week.Even though they sucker punched us for two goals there were signs that there was a better attitude from the team from the kick off.

Kuol was the catalyst for our fight back but credit to Beni and Ayongo and Faz also.Cummings and Kuol hopefully showed Arnie that they can be providers as well as scorers.Tulio yet to really show his worth but will be improve and definitely will be needed when Kuol leaves.Aquilina had an excellent second half and I feel will be the first choice RB.I was looking forward to Ruhs being a starter but he was underwhelming today.
